Overview
What is Measurement Insurance?
Our FREE Measurement Insurance covers measurement mistakes on selected made-to-measure fly screens. If you measured incorrectly or entered the wrong dimensions when ordering, we'll work with you to put it right β without the cost of a full replacement order.

Applies to Roller Fly Screens and No-Drill Roller Fly Screens ordered by retail customers only. Covers measurement errors β not changes of mind, specification changes, or fitting damage.
Coverage
What's covered
Measurement Insurance covers two types of ordering error:
Error type 1 Measured incorrectly
You measured your window recess or aperture and the dimensions were wrong.
Error type 2 Entered wrong measurements
You measured correctly but typed different dimensions when placing your order.
Depending on the nature of the error, we will choose the most appropriate remedy:

Supply an expansion end cap set Where the screen is marginally narrow for the recess. Sprung end caps fit over the existing cassette end caps, extending the effective width so the side channels locate correctly. A neat solution that avoids any need to return the screen.

Shorten the cassette or side channels Where the screen is marginally too wide or too tall for the recess.

Replace the necessary components Where individual parts need to be remade to the correct size.

Remake the screen Where the discrepancy is too large for adjustment or component replacement.
All remedial work uses the same specification as your original order β mesh type, colour, and fixings remain unchanged except for the corrected sizing.
How to claim
What you need to do
If your screen doesn't fit due to a measurement error, follow these three steps.

Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order
Claims submitted after this window cannot be accepted. Email customer.services@newblinds.co.uk with the subject line Measurement Insurance Claim. -

Provide your details
Please include:
- Your order number
- Your revised (correct) measurements
- Photographs where requested by our team

Return the original screen to us
Before we begin any remedial work, the original screen (or relevant components) must be returned to us for inspection and component recovery. Please package it carefully β returned goods must arrive in their original and reusable condition.

Trial fit before you claim. Please inspect and trial fit your screen (placing it in the opening without fixing) to confirm the fit issue before contacting us.
Shipping costs
Who pays for postage?
Return shipping Customer's responsibility
The cost of returning the original screen to us is covered by you. Use a tracked service and package the screen securely.
Replacement shipping We cover it
We cover the cost of shipping the remedy β whether that's replacement components, end caps, or a remade screen β back to you at your original delivery address.

Please read these conditions before submitting a claim.
Measurement Insurance is available to retail customers only and does not apply to trade customer orders.
Measurement Insurance is not a returns policy. As all screens are custom made to your specification, they cannot be returned for a refund. Measurement Insurance exists solely to help resolve genuine sizing errors and does not apply to change of mind returns.
Measurement Insurance covers measurement mistakes only β it does not cover changes of mind, specification changes, fitting damage, or misuse.
Replacement products must remain the same specification as the original order, except for revised sizing or approved remedial components.
Where the corrected screen or components fall into a higher price band than the original order, the difference in price will be charged before work begins. Where the corrected size is smaller, no additional charge is made, though the original purchase price is not refunded.
All claims for multiple screens from the same order must be submitted together as a single claim β we cannot process claims for the same order on separate occasions.
Each individual screen may only be remade or amended once under the policy.
Original products must be returned before replacement work begins.
Returned products must arrive in their original and reusable condition, suitable for inspection and component recovery.
β³ Returned goods condition
Where returned goods are found to be damaged due to:
- Customer misuse
- Installation damage
- Poor packaging in transit
- Accidental customer damage
We reserve the right to refuse the claim, partially charge for the replacement, or treat the replacement as fully chargeable.

Most customers measure correctly first time using our guides β but if you make a mistake, we'll work with you to resolve it quickly and fairly.
