Introduction
Once a return is on its way back, the next question is always the same: when will the money appear? The answer depends on a clear sequence of events — receipt, inspection, approval, and processing. Understanding each stage removes uncertainty and sets accurate expectations.
How long does it take to process a refund?
Refunds are processed within 48 hours of the returned item being received, inspected, and approved. That 48-hour window begins from the point of inspection — not from the point of arrival. If the item arrives on a Monday, it will typically be inspected the same day or the following morning, with the refund processed shortly after.
Once processed, the time it takes for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider. This is outside of our control and typically takes between three and five working days.
What is checked during inspection?
The inspection focuses on one central question: is the product in a resalable condition? The assessor will check:
- Whether the packaging is intact and undamaged
- Whether the product shows any evidence of use or fitting
- Whether all original components, labels, and hardware are present
- Whether the item is in a condition that would allow it to be sold to another customer
This is a straightforward process for items that have been returned correctly. Problems arise when items are returned without original packaging, show signs of handling, or arrive damaged due to inadequate return packaging.
How are refunds issued?
Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Store credit is not offered. Bank transfers are only applicable where the original payment was made by bank transfer.
Are delivery charges refundable?
No. Delivery charges are non-refundable. This applies to the original outbound delivery cost, not to any return shipping costs paid by the customer.
What happens if I use a discount code?
If a discount code was applied to your original order, the refund will reflect the amount actually paid. You will not receive a refund based on the full pre-discount price. This is standard practice and consistent with how discounts are applied across retail.
Will I receive a partial refund in any circumstances?
A partial refund may apply in cases where a restocking fee is deducted from the refund amount. This will always be communicated to you before the return is processed — you will not be presented with a lower refund amount without prior explanation.
What happens if my returned item fails inspection?
If the item does not pass inspection — for example, it has been used, the packaging is missing, or it arrives damaged from the return journey — a refund will not be issued. You will be contacted to explain what was found, and you will be given the option to have the item sent back to you.
This is why packaging returns carefully and insuring shipments is not optional advice — it is the difference between a successful refund and a failed one.
