Can I have blinds delivered somewhere other than my billing address?
Absolutely. The checkout process specifically requests two separate addresses:
- Billing address: Where your card is registered
- Delivery address: Where you want the blinds sent
Complete both fields, and your order automatically ships to the delivery address. There's no assumption they're identical.
What types of alternative addresses do you deliver to?
We deliver to any valid UK address, including:
Work addresses: Provide the company name and any delivery instructions (reception desk, specific building entrance, contact person)
Construction sites: Include site name, plot number if applicable, and a contact phone number—couriers appreciate being able to call when navigating building sites
C/o addresses: Clearly format as "C/o [Name], [Address]"
Holiday homes or temporary locations: No restrictions, though ensure someone can receive delivery during working hours
We don't currently deliver to parcel lockers or collection points—deliveries go to physical addresses only.
How do I change the delivery address after ordering?
Email customer.services@newblinds.co.uk with:
- Your order reference number
- New delivery address (complete with postcode)
- Contact phone number for the new address
Critical timing: Make this change as soon as you realise it's necessary. Changes requested before dispatch are straightforward. Changes requested after dispatch become complicated and may be impossible.
Is there a cut-off time for changing the address?
The practical cut-off is dispatch from the factory. Before dispatch, address changes are processed easily. After dispatch, the parcel is in the courier's network, making changes dependent on courier cooperation rather than our control.
Ideally, request address changes within 24-48 hours of ordering if you've made a mistake at checkout. The sooner we're notified, the more certain we can accommodate the change.
Can I change the address once it's already dispatched?
Possibly, but not reliably.
Email customer.services@newblinds.co.uk immediately. We'll contact the courier to request an address diversion. Success depends on:
- How far through the network your parcel has progressed
- The courier's diversion policies
- Geographic relationship between original and new address
Don't assume success. If the change is critical, be prepared for the parcel to arrive at the original address and require redelivery.
Do you charge for address changes?
No fees for changing delivery addresses, whether before or after dispatch.
What if I need delivery to a remote area not in the original quote?
If your address change moves the delivery from mainland UK to a remote area (Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, offshore island), email customer.services@newblinds.co.uk before finalising the change.
We'll confirm any additional delivery costs and obtain your approval before updating the address. You won't be surprised by unexpected remote area charges.
